Positive: The staff was great, soo friendly and nice. The outdoor area was very cozy too.
Negative: The room did not smell great. We had a kitchen, but I wish we had a cutting board and some other things. We booked the apartment for 6 people, but we wish there were more blankets. The parking is quite expensive, but I guess it was one of the cheapest in the area.

Negative: Had to stand two feet close to TV to turn it on, change channel and volume. Was that way even after getting fresh batteries from desk. Unable to regulate room temp easily.

Positive: The location is excellent, right in beautiful Georgetown. The bed, mattress, and bedding were of outstanding quality and provided a very comfortable stay.
Negative: The kitchen floor was a bit sticky, but it seemed like a one-time oversight since the rest of the place was spotless. The kitchen furniture was a bit dated, but it didn’t affect our stay at all. We didn’t mind, though others might find it important.

Positive: 2500 Penn remains one of the best 'value for price' properties in DC. It isn't a shining example of luxury or style, but the size of the rooms and the location are unmatched.
Negative: The onerous check-in 'verification' process is ridiculous and completely unnecessary. I would have some sympathy and understanding for it if was required only of first time guests, but for returning customers, it's insulting. I've never experienced a similar 'verification' process at any hotel, ever, anywhere in the world. The other major issue is, and always has been, the HVAC system. The air vent in the primary bedroom BLASTS air (blisteringly hot air in the winter, ice cold in the summer) directly onto the bed and it turns it either into a blast furnace or a deep freezer. After several nights of suffering, I've invented a work-around for this ... it involves the window drapes and some pots and pans :-) ...

Negative: The room described as suitable for 6 barely held 4 comfortably. The queen beds are extremely small, and the sofa was quirky. We ended up paying for another room.

Positive: Great location, walking distance to white house and mall. When we arrived the convoys with the world leaders passed by on their way to the white house. So it was fun sleeping on Pennsylvania Avenue. Parking for 35$
